The Bogen PCM2000 integrates unique, multifunction modules resulting in a zone paging system that offers both incredible flexibility and unlimited future expansion. The PCM2000 lets you design of a system that is specifically tailored to the requirements of the facility. The basic system consists of three modules and a power supply:

PCMCPU - Central processor module
PCMTIM - Telephone interface module
PCMZPM - Zone module (3 zones)

PCMPS - Power supply (one required per CPU module) The PCMCPU module controls the system ID and holds all programmed parameters. It includes a power jack for 12V DC power and audio connections for central amplifier, low-power BGM, high-power BGM, emergency/shift change and auxiliary trigger.

The PCMTIM is a telephone interface module incorporating a universal interface for connection to any telephone system. The module uses standard RJ11 connectors and is programmed using dip switches. All other connections are made to built-in terminal blocks using only a small screwdriver. Zone group programming, selection of all signaling functions, and all other parameters are set by simply dialing in with a touch tone telephone.

The telephone interface module is equipped with three RJ11 jacks for Night Ring, Tel Line and Over Ride. The Night Ring feature can be activated from 90V ring signal or contact closure. The Tel Line jack can be used to program the system locally and provides 48V talk battery. The Over Ride feature permits all-zone over ride paging from a dedicated telephone, trunk, or microphone (with suitable preamp).

The PCMZPM zone module can operate high power or low-power paging systems (only one type per ZPM module). For high-power paging, a single amplifier can be used for paging and background music (when not paging). Background music can also be continuously supplied to all zones not being paged with the addition of a second amplifier. For low-power operation, background music is always supplied to zones not being paged. Each module can also be disconnected from the background music bus and be connected to a local BGM music source.

Additional PCMZPM modules can be added to the system to increase capacity. When more than 9 zones are required, a central processor module with power supply and up to 3 zone modules can be assembled as a satellite system. Ten additional 9-zone satellite systems can be installed to bring total capacity to 99 zones.

A talk back module (PCMTBM) can also be added to the system to add hands-free talk back capability. Only one talk back module is required regardless of the number of zones or satellite systems.

PCM2000 is registered under Part 68 of FCC Rules. A single module measures 7-1/2”H x 1-1/2”W x 4-1/4”D.

ZPM3 Zone Paging Module
Bogen Communications ZPM3 Zone Paging System
  • 3-zone paging plus All Call
  • Field programmable paging groups
  • Direct connection to page ports, loop start and ground start trunks
  • 100W total power handling
  • Preannounce & confirmation tones.
  • Built-in night ringer
The ZPM3 is a telephone-compatible zone paging module with all-call and talkback capabilities serving up to three one- or two-way paging zones or paging zone groups. It connects directly to loop start and ground start trunks, and to PBX or Key paging ports which provide a normally-open contact closure and DTMF. Connection to analog station ports is possible using the model TAMB access module. For all applications, a 24-volt power supply is required The Model PRSASAC recommended. Dimensions: 7-1Ú4”H x 9”W x 1-3/8”D. Shipping weight: 3 lbs.
